Do you love creating new content for social media channels? Have you got a passion for graphic design? Join us and you can do this for a living, taking social media and online content briefs and creating videos and pictures to tell our client’s stories. Under the supervision of our experienced team and working into our design studio manager who is Aberdeen based, you’ll learn how to use a variety of software packages to create, edit and share engaging content that follows brand guidelines. You’ll also support the agency’s own marketing with branded content for us.   

This role will teach the basics of video editing and simple graphic design, using software packages that don’t require high end design skills. The young person will also contribute ideas to marketing brainstorms and be part of the wider PR and marketing team.  

A typical day will include horizon scanning to identify any external opportunities to respond to, development of creative content, the approvals and sign-off stages and publishing to channels, then optimising reach. 

We will provide each placement with a laptop and all the equipment they require to work from home, conducting an analysis for each new starter and supporting them with anything they might need. We’ll provide access to weekly training content along with day to day coaching and a nominated line manager who will agree six month objectives and support all training needs.  

We have a full training plan in place for trainees who are allocated line managers and work on a set of career objectives. 

Please note this vacancy is a Kickstart role and, as such, is only available to 18-24 year olds claiming Universal Credit.
