Muckle Media was briefed to provide public relations support for V&A Dundee’s Design in Motion touring exhibition which was to visit more than 70 venues in Scotland. V&A Dundee had a target of 10,000 visitors to come to the exhibition.

Muckle Media was briefed to provide public relations support for V&A Dundee’s Design in Motion touring exhibition which was to visit more than 70 venues in Scotland. V&A Dundee had a target of 10,000 visitors to come to the exhibition.

Strategy

Muckle Media’s main strategy was to secure pre-event coverage to encourage sign-up to events and visits to the exhibition, followed by post-event coverage which would allow us to share the successes and signpost the next destination of the exhibition bus. ​​

Through a comprehensive media relations campaign combined with social media, partnership liaison and engagement, content and asset creation, Muckle Media encouraged a high volume of attendees to visit the exhibition, engaged with local communities across Scotland, raised the profile of V&A ahead of its 2018 opening and encouraged downloads of the Design Scotland app.

Results

The results generated more than 10,000 visitors to Design in Motion, in addition to a national, regional and local print, online and broadcast circulation of over 15,000,000 from more than 100 pieces of coverage.
